Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) Consulting Services Offered:
Use
Computer Integrated Manufacturing as one of your most powerful strategic weapons!
Drive down the time it takes to develop and deliver new products,
dramatically reduce inventory and manufacturing time. Slash the cost of
quality, and win market share. This strategy provides you with the means to do it.
Substantial
market share has been lost over years to foreign competitors. No
industry is immune. The pressure is on to be the nothing less than the
best. But being the best takes serious change and it's no easy matter.
You've
got to streamline your factories, systems and organizations, and open
up lines of communication. You've got to break down barriers between
departments and put an end to the "we've always done it this way"
argument. You've got to get your employees highly involved in assuming
new responsibilities if you're going to compete in the global markets
in the next decade.
Whether you are a discrete
product or process manufacturer, make-to-order or repetitive, Rockford
Consulting Group can help you increase your competitiveness by reducing
throughput time, reducing lead times, reducing costs, increasing velocity and capacity,
increasing flexibility, reducing inventory, and increasing quality, through selection and implementation
of the right manufacturing strategy for your company. We are a
boutique consulting firm that specializes in manufacturing,
distribution and supply chain management. We serve companies
wishing to become world-class performers. We get results!!!

Computer Integrated Manufacturing: Reengineering To
Reduce Total Throughput Time In The Automotive Industry
Our history with Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) systems goes back to the late 1970's when ERP systems were in
their infancy. Our founder was part of an organization that supplied
one of the major software houses with order entry, inventory planning,
and inventory control specifications for its first manufacturing
software modules.
Later, our base consultants worked with a sister company that was
providing specialized machine tools using Computer Integrated
Manufacturing (CIM) as its key design and production strategy. These
techniques were taken to clients for applying both ERP and CIM to the
workplace. As a result we were able to have early, hands-on experience
with ERP and CIM applications, and develop successful implementation
processes, techniques and methods.
As a result, our consultants worked with one of the most advanced computer integrated manufacturing machine tool companies in the U.S.
when CIM was in its infancy as a manufacturing strategy.
The concept was subsequently applied on assignments that demanded
fresh and out-of-the-box thinking, driven by market demand for
specialized products (customerized), high quality, speed of
manufacture, and fast delivery.
Since then Rockford Consulting Group has supported companies who wish
to achieve world class performance and become market leaders. As
companies search for ways to react to intense competitive pressures in
the next decade, our consultants offer a unique group of integrated
dynamic state-of-the-art services to help clients develop high
performance capability. Contact us (click here) for more information on how we can improve your operations.
