Our history with Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) systems goes back to the late 1970's when ERP systems were in their infancy. Our founder was part of an organization that supplied one of the major software houses with order entry, inventory planning, and inventory control specifications for its first manufacturing software modules.

Later, our base consultants worked with a sister company that was providing specialized machine tools using Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) as its key design and production strategy. These techniques were taken to clients for applying both ERP and CIM to the workplace. As a result we were able to have early, hands-on experience with ERP and CIM applications, and develop successful implementation processes, techniques and methods.

Since then Rockford Consulting Group has supported companies who wish to achieve world class performance and become market leaders with ERP strategies. ERP is a crucial part of developing Enterprise Agility.

Today, we facilitate clients with assessing current processes and systems, ERP cost/benefits, identifying their functional requirements, developing RFP's, searching for candidates, evaluating responses to RFP's, selecting, implementing state-of-the-art ERP systems, integrating new systems with streamlined processes, and avoiding common pitfalls that regularly occur during these projects. (Please see our white paper The 12 Cardinal Sins of ERP Implementation.)

We are strong with ERP implementations, because we are intimate with manufacturing and distribution processes at the detailed work instruction level. Contact us (click here) for more information on how we can improve your operations.
